There will be an AWP Social League each school term in 2025.
Round 1, SUNDAYS, 23 February - 30 March
Round 2, SUNDAYS, 4 May - 15 June
Round 3, SUNDAYS, 10 August - 14 September
Round 4, SUNDAYS, 12 October - 30 November
The social leagues are aimed at providing a fun, social competition for those who prefer to play at a more casual level, to enjoy playing with mates. Previous experience playing water polo isn’t needed, but you definitely need to be a strong swimmer. Registrations will be accepted from teams as well as individuals looking to join a team for the term.
Social League, October-November 2025
The AWP Social League in School Term 4 will run from 12 October until 30 November, on Sunday afternoons at Epsom Grammar and Auckland Grammar Pool. This will be a league where masters, former players, school leavers can play weekly without having to commit too much time to training- just to pick up the ball and have a game. If you are new to water polo, you will need to be a strong swimmer in order to participate.
The Social League is a great place for newbies, but also for players who are still playing competitively at Schools, Masters or National League level but please note, this is a social league, NOT a competitive league and both men and women are welcome to register interest- the league will be a co-ed, mixed league.
At Auckland Grammar, we will have a double field set up where we will have one field dedicated to newbies and one field dedicated to more experienced players, where games will run side-by-side.
Individual Player registration is $75 GST Inc per player. All fees are going towards covering pool cost, some necessary equipment and referees for games. The minimum age to participate is 17.
