North Harbour take out Under 14 Girls and Boys Championships
North Harbour left it till seconds before full time in both the Girls and Boys Under 14 Auckland League finals to claim victory, on Saturday 14th December 2019 at the Diocesan School for Girls pool.
In the Girls final, North Harbour led 1 – 0 after Darcy Spark opened the scoring 30 seconds into the game. The score remained this way, with both teams missing opportunities until 1:20 into the 3rd, when Georgia Daly evened things up for Atlantis. The game looked to be heading to a penalty shoot out when—with 1 second of the game left—Arrington Hannah put one through the goalie’s outstretched hands to take the lead 2 – 1 for North Harbour. Atlantis couldn’t score off a time out planned move giving Harbour the 2019 Championship title.

Marist led 3 – 1 at the end of the 1st quarter and remained in the lead at half time 4 – 2. Marist extended the lead to 5 – 2 halfway through the 3rd before North Harbour rallied their ‘never say die attitude’ to even the game up at 6 – 6 with 49 secs to play before L’Ami’s shot ricocheted off a Marist arm past the goalie to seal another great North Harbour fight back 7 — 6.
