National Award Nominations Open

From New Zealand Water Polo:

New Zealand Water Polo are excited to announce that nominations for the 2019 National Awards are open. The National Awards is an annual event that lets us recognise exceptional performance and contribution within the water polo community.

This year’s awards evening is being held on Saturday, 21st March 2020 at the Blue Room, Auckland Central. The evening is again being hosted by the New Zealand Water Polo Board to celebrate successes from the 2019 season, and is the perfect reason to bring the community together away from the pool. Tickets will be available for purchase from Friday, 17th January 2020.

Nominations for all categories close on Friday, 17th January 2020.

Submit your nominations for the New Zealand Water Polo National Awards now to ensure they get the recognition they deserve.

Award Categories

  • Coach of the Year

  • Rookie Coach of the Year

  • Referee of the Year

  • Club of the Year

  • Volunteer of the Year

  • Team of the Year (Female)

  • Team of the Year (Male)

  • Player of the Year (Female)

  • Player of the Year (Male)

  • Outstanding Flippa Ball School

  • Fair Play Award

Nominations

  • All nominations must be completed on the appropriate nomination form (please note there are different forms for each award) with any supporting information attached.

  • Nominations can be put forward by anyone, including but not limited to, Clubs, Centres, National Teams and individual members. As many nominations can be put forward as required to recognise those within your club.

  • If a nomination does not meet the criteria it will not be accepted.

  • Nominations must relate to the 2019 year.
